It’s called SpamAssassin and is included with each shared web hosting package, so if you host your domain names with our company, you can opt for one of the five protection levels that the filter offers for any email account that you have here. You can accomplish this with just two clicks of the mouse from the Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel that is used to manage all shared hosting accounts. SpamAssassin checks the header and the body of every email, calculates a spam score and then continues according to the level that you have picked. Each mailbox can have a different level and you can choose if the emails that the anti-spam filter marks as spam should be erased or redirected to some other email account where you can examine them later, so as to prevent deleting a legitimate email message. Switching to some other level or deactivating the protection is also amazingly easy.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our semi-dedicated server packages offer exceptional spam protection ensured by the popular SpamAssassin spam filter, which ranks all inbound messages based on a spam score that depends on parameters and patterns, such as the frequency of certain keywords and phrases, the subject, the sender, etc. When you activate the filter for any mailbox through the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section, you can select between five separate levels of protection – from very low to very high. If you still get spam messages, you can raise the level, or if genuine emails are flagged as spam, you can lower it. Activating or deactivating the anti-spam protection requires as little as 2 clicks and you can select if the filtered email messages should be deleted immediately or if they should be forwarded to a chosen email account where you can check them at a later time, so as to make sure that the emails that you need will not disappear.
