When the .NET generic extension was initially set up in 1985, together with the first domain extensions on the Internet, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure firms. Due to the fact that there were no particular requirements about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were booked and used for various purposes and by loads of people. This extension is a great alternative to dot COM, especially if the necessary domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.

You can get such a domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can transfer it to our company and we will renew it after the transfer process is completed. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least sixty days old, given that they are unlocked and that you have obtained an EPP transfer code – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry against unauthorized transfers. You can easily change the WHOIS contact details of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you don’t want this info to be visible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to see your true contact details.

The dot NET domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can choose if you want to target a certain country or region using a domain name in the native language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
